Abstract
This article examines the spiritual messages contained in Surah Al-Baqarah through a linguistic perspective. As the longest chapter in the Qur’an, Surah Al-Baqarah presents profound insights into the relationship between humans and the Divine, emphasizing faith, worship, and obedience to Allah as the foundation of righteous living. Using a linguistic and textual analysis approach, this study explores the linguistic structures, word choices, and rhetorical devices employed in the Surah to convey spiritual meaning. It also identifies key themes such as the concept of Tawhid (Oneness of God), human responsibility as God’s vicegerent, and the essence of submission to divine will. The findings reveal that the linguistic beauty of the Qur’an in Surah Al-Baqarah serves not only as a medium of legal and moral instruction but also as a means of nurturing deep spiritual awareness. By integrating linguistic analysis with contextual interpretation, the study concludes that the spiritual messages of Surah Al-Baqarah remain universally relevant, offering timeless guidance for fostering a balanced relationship with God, nature, and humanity.
